Adult Bible Study
-Sandra Buchanan-

Our Adult Bible Classes are intended to challenge you to grow in a loving relationship with Christ and in community with other believers; to equip you to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant manner; and to engage every believer in a personally fulfilling ministry that honors God.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Silver Threads
(Senior adult women)
10:00 - 10:45 AM, Room 104
-Wynette Smith Emslie-
The Silver Threads class challenges senior adult women, who are already full of valuable life experiences, to discover new ones in their service to the Lord and to pass on to younger generations the legacy of their faith. The Life Ventures curriculum seeks to equip, encourage, and minister to those in their senior years through practical application of biblical truths. It focuses on the personal and spiritual needs of senior women by reinforcing Godly values and Christ-like excellence.

Women’s Bible Study
(Adult women of all ages)
10:00 – 10:45 AM, Room 106
-Nona King-

This class is for women who want to discover and understand God’s Word for themselves. The Life Lessons curriculum is designed to help you be, know, and do all God desires for you. Each class session provides a God inspired life-changing Bible study that helps in the development of Godly values and growth in biblical knowledge and understanding of both the Old and New Testaments. Encouragement from other women experiencing similar life events is uplifting and may lead to development of life-long friendships.

Men’s Bible Study
(Adult men of all ages)
10:00 – 10:45 AM, Room 103
-Lynn Crowther-
Designed specifically to help men in their pursuit of a deeper, more abiding faith in God. This class uses the You adult curriculum series which targets urban churches, racially diverse churches, and churches wanting unique studies. Culturally relevant Bible studies help believers connect, grow, serve, and ultimately impact the world.

Mixed Nuts
(Mixed adults of all ages)
10:00 – 10:45 AM, Room 105
-Gary Gilbert & Eric Graham-

A variety of Bible study guides are used in this class. Currently, we are studying books of the New Testament. Join us for this in-depth study of the life of Christ; the growth of the early church; sharing the gospel message; and teachings on the return of Christ.

Archaeology and the Bible
(Mixed adults of all ages)
10:00 – 10:45 AM, Room 110
-Flint Winter-

This class is designed for Christians who want a better understanding of the people, places, and cultures referenced in the Bible. Using maps, charts, and Scripture references, students gain insight into the background and context of many Old and New Testament events. Students also learn ways to discern the validity, based on biblical accounts, of current secular archaeological findings. Sometimes a map or image will be just the small nugget you need to cause a particular scripture to open up to you in a whole new way. This valuable information is intended to enhance your personal Bible study and Christian growth.
